The SUNG Winter Youth Retreat is a winter retreat for youth groups looking for a something a little different than the normal, freeze your feet off in the snow retreat experience.
The SUNG Winter Youth Retreat is held at Great Wolfe Lodge of Traverse City. We work to transform this “family escape center” in an experience students will never forget through exceptional worship, relevant teaching, and more water fun than should be legal in the winter.
This retreat will be January 27-29, 2012. Participants must come as a group. No individuals please.
The Great Wolf Lodge is a full resort center complete with a ball room capable of holding 300 participant, and massive 39,000 square foot indoor water park. Rooms hold up to 8 and will have at 2 adult chaperones per room.
We will be transforming the ballroom into a worship center for the weekend. Complete with the sound and lights you’d expect at a large retreat, your students will be invited to experience Christ in an environment they wouldn’t normally expect.
Audio Remedy, a Southeast Michigan alternative Christian rock band, will be joining us as the worship leaders.
With musical influences such as Switchfoot, Starfield, Relient K, & Blink 182, coupled with their own unique style, Audio Remedy brings a catchy blend of Pop/Rock & Punk styles to the table. Audio Remedy strives to create music that captivates the listener as well as provides a positive message of hope. Most importantly, the band exists to glorify God & to be His hands and feet through creating music that is an “Audio Remedy” to the pain people have.

2012 – Stand Boldly
Many of us don’t understand how much courage and humility it takes to stand boldly for our faith. Standing boldly isn’t about being offensive and beating people of the head with a bible, but rather it’s about speaking truth in love.
Josh Decker, Director of Student Ministries at Highland Community Church, will be delivering the message this year. Josh has been with Highland Community Church for 6 years and has a passion for bringing the Word to students in a way they can understand and that challenges them to not settle with good enough.
